Science and Social Fair at Gurukul International Public School

 

BERHAMPUR, 23/11 (Abhijit Kar): A science and social fair was organized at Gurukula International Public School located on Goods Shed Road. The event was organized under the chairmanship of the school Chairman Mr Prashant Mohapatra and the chief guest was Shri. Devendra Behera, Block Education Officer, Rangeilunda. About 250 projects of various categories of students of the school were displayed in this fair. Out of which, Mayur Sahu and Team, Swayam and Team of Class VIII of the robotic group won the first place. Similarly, in Science, Samprati Sethi, Kritika Pradhan of Class II, Gopinath Sahu of Class IV, Subham Panda of Class VI, Sanket Shekhar Sandhangi and K. Khirodh of Class VIII, Biswajit Sahu and Subham Sen of Class IX, in Social Science, Omkar Samal of Class III, Mrinmayi Mahapatra and Chandana Mahapatra of Class VIII, Subhasree Behera and Sindhuja Subuddhi of Class IX secured the first position. It was conducted by Science teachers Madhuchanda Mishra, Laxmirani Choudhury, V. Tarkesh, Soumya Siddhartha Barik, Twinkle Patra, Rajesh Mahapatra, Shivani Panigrahi, Sapna Panigrahi and Nivedita Majhi.

In this context, the chief guest Mr. Behera addressed the students about the importance of science and technology and appreciated the presentation style and beautiful exhibition of the students. He also conveyed a message to the family members and parents that parents have a key role in the progress of their children and advised them to encourage them at every level for their future. Among others, the school Secretary Mrs. Anita Kumari Padhi and the school Principal Mrs. Madhusmita Parida conducted the program. In all these programs, all the teachers, NCC cadets, scout team and other staff members cooperated in the management of the program in an orderly manner.
